Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

It’s shaping up to be a truly holly jolly Christmas, and at ACA, we only scratched the surface during our Christmas productions. From the Elementary School presentation Have a Raad Christmas to the Mid and High School Christmas concert, What Is Christmas?, the season came alive in beautiful ways.

In this blog edition, we’re delighted to share highlights from Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations at American Christian Academy.

Thanksgiving: Building a Tank of Thanks

November was a month steeped in gratitude at ACA as we intentionally reflected on both the little moments and the big blessings that fill our lives. From the beauty of nature to the gift of family and friends, students took time throughout the month to write down what they were thankful for, creating a Box of Thanks within each class and department.

At our Thanksgiving assembly, every class stepped out in style to present their Box of Thanks. Together, these expressions of gratitude came together to build our “Tank of Thanks,” a collective offering of thanksgiving lifted up to God. Through this experience, we were reminded that gratitude is meant to be expressed and shared, turning thankful hearts into meaningful action.

Raad Tidings We Bring: An Elementary Christmas Production

The Elementary School students took the stage by surprise once again with a delightful Christmas production. Raad Tidings We Bring, an original work by Christy Semsen, retells the story of the birth of Jesus from a charming and imaginative perspective.

Through the eyes of the animals, from the sheep and donkeys to the birds of the air, the story unfolds as they gather to witness the birth of King Jesus, bringing the nativity to life in a fresh and heartwarming way. Videos from the production will be shared on our YouTube channel at a later date.

So be sure to keep an eye out.

What Is Christmas? — A Mid & High School Concert

The question of what truly makes Christmas, Christmas, is one that many of us ponder. Our middle and high school students explored this question beautifully through their performances, shining a light on the true meaning of the season.

They brought the nativity to life by reenacting the manger scene and had the whole audience join in, singing carols and celebrating

Christ at the heart of Christmas.
