FALLING IN LOVE WITH OCTOBER
“Leaves descending to the ground,
Orange, magenta, green & brown.
The cool, crisp breezes in the air,
Autumn season must be here.”
― Charmaine J. Forde
October has come and gone, leaving behind the calm beauty of the season- golden-brown leaves, cooler days, and a sense of gratitude for simple moments.
As we look back, we appreciate the steady rhythm of change that makes October a time to reflect and the perfect prelude to November, the month of Thanksgiving. Look through the month of October with our lens and see how it unfolded for us at American Christian Academy.
In honor of World Animal Day, our energetic 5th graders visited the University of Ibadan to join other schools in celebrating animal welfare and protection.
They participated in interactive sessions and engaging learning activities that deepened their understanding of conservation and responsible animal care.
Furthermore, the highlight of the day was the quiz competition, where our students showcased their knowledge and teamwork, proudly earning 2nd place, a reflection of their curiosity, compassion, and love for animals.
The wait is finally over! We’re excited to announce the newly elected members of our Student Body Government (SBG) for the 2025/2026 session. After weeks of engaging campaigns and thoughtful voting, students have chosen their representatives for various leadership positions on the executive board.
These elected leaders carry the important responsibility of representing their peers and ensuring that the voices of students are heard in key school decisions. Join us in congratulating our new SBG, the student leaders shaping the year ahead!
Our ACA community wouldn’t be complete without our dedicated and passionate teachers who inspire, guide, and bring out the best in every student. It truly takes a big heart to nurture both young and growing minds. To show our appreciation, we celebrated our teachers with thoughtful gestures- personalized stickers to remind them of their daily impact and delightful snacks to brighten their day.
Our Monday assemblies are always the perfect way to kick off the week! All through October, our students took the lead in worship—an inspiring reminder of the amazing gifts within our ACA community. One special highlight came from our boarding students, who lifted their voices in a powerful rendition of “Every Praise” by Hezekiah Walker.
October was truly a month of joy as we celebrated our beloved founder and principal, Mrs. Karen Nwulu, on her 65th birthday. Our preschool and elementary students poured their hearts into a love jar filled with sweet notes, while the middle and high school students created a heartfelt video and surprised her with a beautiful birthday cake.
This month has been buzzing with learning and discovery across every level—from Preschool to High School.
Here’s a glimpse into the exciting activities happening in our classrooms.
We’ve kicked off a brand-new club season with excitement and energy!
This month, we’re shining the spotlight on two of our clubs—STEM and Painting, where learning, creativity, and fun all come together.
