Welcome to American Christian Academy
“The miracle of gratitude is that it shifts your perception to such an extent that it changes the world you see.” – Dr. Rober Holden
We leaned hard towards gratitude in November and discovered that there are many things to be grateful for- especially the things we consider as little. We invite you to sit back and reflect on the many things you can be grateful for as you read through.
“You want proof there’s a God? Look outside, watch the sunset.” – Frank E. Peretti
We are thankful for the sunset that marks the end of the day welcoming us to rest from the day’s work.
Gratitude goes beyond words—it’s about action, kindness, and paying it forward.
Join our 4th Grader, Helen, as she delivers an inspiring presentation on the power of gratitude.

The songwriter reminds us to count our blessings one by one, and our kids took that to heart!
Their example inspires us to express gratitude for every blessing God has given us.
World Children’s Day, celebrated annually on November 20, is all about unity, awareness, and improving children’s lives. This year, our students marked the day by showcasing their cultural attire, highlighting the beauty of diversity and togetherness. The celebration was topped off with an SBG-organized buffet for middle and high school students, featuring delicious meals from different cultures!
In November, our preschoolers had an exciting time engaging in hands-on learning. Pre-Nursery students explored the letter “H” and celebrated it with a fun Hat Day. Nursery students discovered the color gray through a creative activity and learned about community helpers, while also practicing how to draw a heart shape. Pre-KG students had an exceptional month as they explored the sense of taste by sampling lime and worked together in groups to build structures using geo sticks. KG students honored their parents with a heartfelt family tree presentation and wrapped up the month with a delightful performance of Jack Hartmann’s song, We Are a Family. It was a month filled with creativity, learning, and joy!
First graders had an exciting month full of experiments and projects in Science where they explored the anatomy of a fish and crafted pencil holders as part of their creative projects. In Math, they learned how to create tally charts, while in Art, they expressed gratitude by designing colorful
“Thank You” plates.
For second graders, the highlight of the month was their trip to the UI Zoological Garden, where they saw a variety of animals and even got the chance to feed the camels. Third graders showcased their musical talents in Literacy by composing songs about tenses. They also engaged in outdoor exploration, observing and taking notes on their surroundings.
Our 9th graders took on an exciting marketing project, working in two teams—Ohana and Jahaya. They sold a variety of products ranging from food to fashion items and offered activities like video gaming and face painting. The proceeds from their efforts were donated to the Jesus Kids Autism Centre, where they also spent time singing and playing with the children. Meanwhile, our 12th graders have been hard at work conducting science experiments.
