Welcome to American Christian Academy
Welcome to Our Gratitude Month! It’s been about 9 weeks of school, and we are finally in the gratitude month, November! Is it too late to start imagining what Christmas would look like?! Okay, just maybe we’re getting ahead of ourselves a little bit. While we wait for “the most wonderful time of the year,” let’s count our blessings throughout October. We had a splendid October that kicked off with our annual Independence Day dress-up and continued with our first basketball game of the academic year (P/S: We won!). Across schools, we had profound learning moments, sat through life skills lessons, and took a few trips. So, join us as we look through October at American Christian Academy.
We celebrated Nigeria’s Independence Day by dressing up in different colors and cultural attire to represent beauty in diversity!
A big shout-out to everyone who participated!
Raising servant-leaders is core to us, and having students elected to leadership positions is one of the service opportunities available to our students. This year, apart from the Student Body Government, we have a Middle School Council, and we look forward to the incredible work they’ll do.
Our 11th- and 12th-grade students have been learning workplace skills, and they took it up a notch by visiting Kokari Café. At the Café, they interacted with Mrs. Feludu, and gained insight into real-world business operations, which helped put their classroom lessons into perspective.
Our 8th and 9th graders visited the Institut Français de Recherche en Afrique (IFRA-Nigeria) as part of their French learning experience, broadening their understanding of the French language and culture beyond the classroom.
Basketball season kicked off with a game against Top Rank Academy. The Warriors beat Top Rank 82-17, marking their first victory for the season. Go Warriors!
Our preschoolers had their first Parent Assembly, and it was beautiful to see these little ones showcase their God-given potential through cute class presentations.
Take a glimpse into the everyday learning experiences and memorable moments happening across our campus.
Some of our high schoolers attended an educational fair where they got to connect with representatives from different universities across the world, learning about various courses, campus environments, and the unique experience of each institution.
ACA’s Onireke Chorale took the stage at one of Africa’s biggest cultural platforms! They performed “Ndikhokhele Bawo,” a traditional South African hymn that translates to a prayer for God’s guidance. As we step into November, a month of gratitude, we thank God for His protection.
