Nonstop Action: Inside ACA’s 24-Hour Sports Marathon

We kicked off February with great energy and excitement at our much-anticipated 24-Hour Sports Marathon on February 10th! Indeed, this thrilling event brought together students, parents, and staff for a full day of nonstop sporting activities, fostering school spirit and community bonding.

The day began with electric performances of the American, Nigerian, and ACA anthems, led by our talented band squad and rising 9th-grade musician, Iteoluwa. Afterward, an invigorating aerobic worship session followed, helping us loosen up and get energized for the day ahead.

From an exhilarating obstacle course to an intense game of soccer, we enjoyed every moment! We were honored to welcome two alumni who served as referees for the soccer matches and, even more exciting, thrilled to see parents join in the games. A highlight of the day was the launch of our newly designed gym, celebrated with a competitive weightlifting contest featuring students, parents, and staff.

The 24-Hour Sports Marathon was more than just an athletic event—it was a fun and healthy way to strengthen our ACA family and create lasting memories!

Inspiring Future Scientists: 5th Graders Celebrate Women in STEM

To celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, our 5th graders had the incredible opportunity to attend an event hosted by IITA, themed “Unpacking STEM Careers: Her Voice in Science.” It was a day filled with discovery, inspiration, and hands-on experiences that opened their eyes to the exciting world of STEM!

During the event, they learned about trailblazing women in science—real-life role models who are making a difference in their communities while pursuing careers in STEM. Additionally, they got to connect with students from other schools, participate in a fun and challenging quiz, and present creative theme posters. One of the highlights was exploring an exhibition featuring cutting-edge research from IITA and CGIAR centers, where they saw firsthand how science shapes our world.

Ultimately, this experience not only sparked curiosity but also encouraged our young learners to dream big and believe that their voices in science matter!

Valentine’s Day at ACA: Preschoolers Parade in Style

Our preschoolers made Valentine’s Day extra special with a delightful Valentine’s Day Parade!

Dressed as superheroes, princesses, and other fun characters, they proudly walked the stage, showing off their creative costumes.

It was a joy to watch, and having our parents as a part of the audience made the celebration even more memorable!

Nurturing Young Picasso’s: Pre-KG Paints Their Imagination

We experienced our little Picasso’s in Pre KG at work, painting away and creating timeless art pieces.

We are committed to nurturing the whole child and this involves helping children to  cultivate their literary, artistic, musical, and athletic abilities.

At this rate, with our little ones expressing their artistic abilities, we might be hosting art exhibitions featuring our little picasso’s!

However, for now, enjoy their exhibition on the blog.
