Volume 46: Issue 8 (April 2025)

Welcome to May.
As the months go by, we are drawing closer to the summer break and we are grateful for every season, new growth, new experiences, and the gift of a beautiful community right here at ACA. As you read through April’s blog, we invite you to experience God’s love in every experience- from our field trips to our unique Easter Assembly.

April Blossoms into May

FIELD TRIP SEASON IS UPON US!

It’s been raining field trips from preschool all the way to middle/high school and we are exhilarated to share a glimpse of our field trips in April where we enjoyed learning new things, bonding with our friends, and experiencing new things!

So, come along!

Pre-Nursery Kids on a Bus Ride

KG Kids at Altak Industries

You’ve probably heard the classic rhyme “The Wheels on the Bus,” but have you heard our Pre-Nursery kids sing it? We promise — it’s pure cuteness! They had a blast singing along during a fun bus ride to the filling station. What seemed like a short trip turned into a memorable learning experience, reinforcing everything they’ve been discovering about transportation. So, moms and dads, the next time you drive your Pre-Nursery child to school, make it even more special — sing along with “The Wheels on the Bus” or even “The Wheels on the Car!”

Have you ever seen how plastic chairs and tables are made? Our KG students had an exciting opportunity to explore the production process during their visit to Altak Industries! Their adventure began with an important lesson on safety — complete with safety helmets — before touring the factory. They observed the powerful machinery and learned about the granules used to create the chairs and tables. After an engaging presentation on plastic production and recycling, the visit ended on a high note with big hugs and thoughtful gifts from Altak Industries.

Exploring Abeokuta: A Trip to Olumo Rock & Obasanjo Library

Our 1st and 3rd Grade students went on an exciting adventure to explore two of Abeokuta’s most iconic landmarks

— the Olusegun Obasanjo Library and Olumo Rock.

Discovering Nature: 2nd Grade Adventure at Elegushi Beach

7th Graders Explore Nature at Lekki Conservation Centre

Our 2nd grade students enjoyed a delightful trip to Elegushi Beach, filled with wonder and exploration. From collecting seashells to building sand structures, the day was full of fun and discovery. It was a beautiful opportunity to admire and reflect on God’s magnificent creation—the sea.

Our 7th grade students went on an educational field trip to the Lekki Conservation Centre, where they explored natural habitats and observed diverse plant and animal life. The experience offered them a hands-on opportunity to connect classroom learning with the wonders of nature

CLASS FEATURES

April Moments with Our Preschoolers

April was filled with joyful learning and celebrations across our preschool classes! In Pre-Nursery, the little ones embraced their ABCs, mastering the letters W and S with creativity and flair. Nursery students had fun exploring different types of clothing — from occupational and traditional attire to cozy nightwear. In KG and Pre-KG, the children celebrated Easter through colorful and creative Easter-themed art activities. Our Pre-KG kids also lovingly cared for their growing plants, reminding us that with patience and nurturing, the seeds we plant will bloom in time.

April Moments with Our Elementary Kids

April was an exciting month for our Elementary students, filled with fun and meaningful learning! A special highlight was having Grandma Fluth join us—her storytelling and lessons about God brought warmth and inspiration to our days. Our 1st graders also had a great time collaborating in groups to learn their A and B musical notes, and they explored the human body by using play dough to understand how bones function in a hands-on way.
