Nigeria at 64: A Celebration of Unity in Diversity

As we celebrated Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day, we took time to honor the rich cultural heritage that unites us all. Students proudly wore traditional attire, complemented by vibrant displays of national colors, showcasing the beauty of Nigeria’s diverse ethnic groups.

During the morning assembly, the Nigerian flag was raised high as students performed a heartfelt rendition of the national anthem.

Teachers and students joined together on stage, dressed in their tribal regalia, singing and dancing to the rhythm of Nigerian music, truly embodying our unity in diversity

New Student Body Government (SBG)

This past month, we held elections for our new Student Body Government, and it was a fantastic demonstration of school spirit and leadership! Middle and high school students campaigned for key positions, and we’re thrilled to announce Razan as this year’s SBG President. Class teachers appointed dedicated Class Representatives, and the SBG Executive Council selected SBG Representatives for each class.

School Spirit Week

To kick off their new term, the SBG organized an exciting Spirit Week filled with themed days. Students got creative on “Anything but a Bag” day, cozied up for “Pajama Day,” and showed off their favorite team jerseys on “Jersey Day.” The festivities continued with a throwback to different eras on “Decades Day” and concluded with wild and imaginative hairstyles on the final day.

Congratulations to our new SBG Exco, Representatives, and Class Reps—your leadership has already made the school year unforgettable!

Fourth Graders delved into Literacy by learning how to choose quality books and organize genres, while in Math, they explored exponents. Our Fifth Graders took the spotlight for Teacher’s Day by leading lessons for younger students. In Science, they learned to use a microscope for the first time, adding a new tool to their scientific exploration.
