Events

Day Waterman Inter-schools Debate Competition

ACA was invited for a Debate Competition at Day Waterman College and came out 2nd runner up! It was an entertaining and refreshing experience as we proposed the motion that “School Uniforms remove individuality”. Congratulations to ACA’s Debate Team: Dabira, Ini D., Karina, Razan, and Riddhima!

3D Kids Talent Hunt Grand Finale

Congratulations to all our Senior students for participating in this year’s 3D Kids Talent Hunt Competition! 8 of our students made it all the way through to the Grand Finale, and ACA was also proud to receive an invitation for our Elementary Choir and 2 of our piano students as special guest performances!

All performed phenomenally well. Congratulations to Kimberly who placed in Top 24, and to our very own Laiba for rising all the way up to 4th position and being offered a recording deal! And a huge “thank you!” to the organizers who are committed to discovering and developing the voices of kids in Secondary Schools across Oyo State.

ACA remains committed to the growth of all our students and developing their God-given talents.

4th Grade iPad Pilot Program

“iPads make learning FUN!” | “There are lots of educational activities to keep us occupied, even after lessons are over.” | “They help me interact with other students learning.” | “We can all learn something different at the same time!” | “They help me learn at my own pace.”

Those were just a few quotes from some of the 4th Grade students reflecting on the successful integration of iPads into their classroom this academic year. According to their teacher, Ms Ethel, the introduction of iPads in the classroom has been highly beneficial, with students learning more and at a faster pace, while remaining fully engaged. It makes learning easier, fun and more customizable. As a teacher, Apple Classrooms specifically has helped manage the classroom and every student’s activities and progress, as well as keep them safe and secure while online. Both students and teachers love the numerous apps and educational games that have helped enhance learning this past year, such as iBooks, Notability, Kahoot! Kids A–Z, etc.
